Steak and Potatoes is one of our favourite meals here at Playing w/ Food. We like to play around with it as much as we can since it's such a simple dish. Play with it at home and share with us what you come up with!

Tangy Three Chili Picanha Steak and Potatoes

Cooking time:
20 - 30 mins

Ingredients:
2 x 6oz Picanha Steaks
1 lb Mini Yellow Potatoes - Quartered
2 Tbsp Playing w/Food Tangy Three Chili Salt
1 Tbsp Playing w/Food Everything Mexican Bagel Spice
1 Small Onion - Quartered
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

Procedure:

  1. Take the steaks out of the fridge, place on a paper towel, pat dry
  2. Quarter your potatoes, if they are too tiny, just cut in half!
  3. Place potatoes in microwave for 3-4 mins to pre-cook
  4. Heat up a pan, medium-high heat
  5. Season Steaks with Playing w/Food Tangy 3 Chili Salt Place steaks on hot pan, sear one side, once you see red liquid come to the top of the steak, it means it can be flipped
  6. Set Steaks aside to rest
  7. Add veg oil and quartered onion to the pan, sautee for about 2 mins
  8. Add the microwaved potatoes, Playing w/Food Everything Mexican Bagel Spice and a splash of water or wine to delace
  9. Enjoy!
